Now that we know what the thread is for... anything goes. :D

Though not related to Gor or RP, and won't necessarily be informative or educational for readers and members, it can be useful to get to know other forum members, and sometimes a much needed place to rant/vent/laugh.

My new discovery?
Peak Freans Lifestyle Blueberry, Brown Sugar, Flax Cookies

These are incredible! I'm not usually a cookie person, but I love these. They aren't too sweet, and have this huge flavor, a combination I don't think I've tasted anywhere else.
The best part is that 3 cookies is only 130 calories and is actually a source of Omega 3.

MUST NOT DISCUSS AYN RAND......!

I'll be willing to discuss Ayn Rand if someone is willing to read the Illuminatus Trillogy by R A Wilson with a strict focus on cultural memetics within.

So......

Anyone have a Swing (the sex toy) at home? I'm curious as to what type of mounting bracket it uses... I'm making one.

So many subjects! Whew! I totally slacked off today. I read about this book in People magazine (The Good Wife), and it sounded so good that I ordered it yesterday (which I never do). It arrived today, and I spent the day reading it. Totally worth the $16 I spent on it.

Those cookies sound interesting, Linnet. Do you buy them? Bake them?

I'll listen to slacker radio once I get my speakers working again. I think a wire has gone out. Personally, I like listening to blip.fm because I find a lot of new music that way.

What's Fountainhead about? Convince me that it's good, and I'll buy a copy :P

Illuminatus Trilogy? That sounds very intellectual and out of my league, Sacha. Especially when you throw in a word like "memetics."

No Swing here. Just the plug and play solo kinda toys :D

Dear - you buy the cookies, they should have them in the USA I would think. Well worth it, you won't believe the taste combination of wild blueberry and flax seeds. Normally the only cookies I eat are ginger snaps.

Lara - I haven't read fountainhead, but I feel I should, sometimes I think I'm the only person who hasn't read Ayn Rand when I see all the profile quotes.

Sacha... yah... I got no advice on swings my friend LOL.
I'm in the dark ages of sex toys I think, mine are mostly attached to the end of my hands.

Is Hesse off your list too? Because I read Demian before Fountainhead.

I'd read 18 of the Gor books soooooo I'd give it a go.

FYI I looked it up and I think you might find the cultural memetics within Fountainhead as they relate to architecture, interesting.

Swings, no but I could see a pull up bar having applications.

@Dear Wow, I don't know if I can put it into a few short lines. I love the way she describes physical movement. Her characters' knowledge, or lack of it, of self has me yelling at the book. I could say it's about architecture, New York City in the 30's, romance, submission, dominance, manipulation, conflicting ideologies or power struggles but that doesn't seem like enough.

Bah, I think I might rather sandpaper my eye than discuss Ayn Rand. Something about actually believing that if you aren't rich, its just because you aren't working hard enough bothers me, as does the 'screw everyone else, make yourself happy' stance.

Swings? Can't help ya. Usually those go on metal or wood frames in the back yard. :p

Illuminatis Trilogy is a series by Robert Anton Wilson, and is a sorta-parody, maybe. It wraps up every conspiracy theory ever created into one long story. lol.

@Markos - that's not what I'm seeing in her writing but ...

Next up is either, Bernard Cornwell's latest in the Saxon Chronicles or The Good Soldier Švejk.
