Post Bards of Gor
If you are a writer by hobby or profession, you may be interested in “Bards of Gor.” Not only is there a group to support creative performances in SL Gor, there is a forum to assist in everything imaginable when it comes to writing.

The group is for original creative writers of Gor, including poets, storytellers, lyricists, essayists, aspiring writers and experienced writers. To join, IM Maeglin Velde or Sirius Karillion.

The forum, located at http://bards-of-gor.forumotion.net/, contains a plethora of information, even though the site hasn’t been up for very long. Content includes:

- Introduce Yourself Here: Let us know who you are. All bards please post here.

- Guests Forum: Guests, please post details of your in-world event here. Include your full SL Name, timezone, type of event, theme, date and time. If you do not receive a reply within 48 hours, contact Maeglin Velde or Sirius Karillion in SL. Registration is essential to view the rest of this forum.

- Grammar Usage for Good Writing: Grammar, spelling, style and language tips.

- The Business: Legal stuff like copyright, contract terms every writer should know, getting your work published, preparing your manuscript for submission.

- The Writing Process: Feeling uninspired? Look here; you may find something to motivate you.

- Performing Art: Pointers for performing live in Second Life, etiquette for working together as a performing group, setting up your event, the importance of a good Master of Ceremonies, roleplaying and performing, promote your event.

- Works in Progress (Gor themed)

- Works in Progress (Non-Gor themed)

- Sacrificial Offerings to the Priest-Kings: Original completed works by the Bards of Gor. Poetry, lyrics, short fiction, excerpts of novels, essays. Not for works in progress.

- Performances In-World: Post your transcripts of in-world performances for critique or simply for our delectation.

- Dance Analysis: Post your dances here for critique and advice.

- Fill a Poor Bard’s Basket: Anything a Bard can use as a resource in and out of Second Life, this includes: recommended reading list and book reviews, website urls, let us know about a great product in SL that will enhance our roleplay as bards – preferably free, writing software, writers aids.

- The Kudos Shrine: A place where you can post a work that has particularly influenced, inspired or moved you, or you have simply admired. NOT FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL WORK. Please credit the original author and check copyright if you can.

- The Counter-Earth: Questions or discussions about Gor.

- Computer Technology/Gaming: For you puter nerds.

- General Discussions: Not about Gor or writing.

I hope you will join and start adding your content to this extremely useful tool for writers.

First off what a wonderful idea. I'll be sure to post this information around as well.

Thanks to Dear for telling me about this page. Hopefully traffic and such will pick up soon.

Be well.

I really hope so too, Adam. It'll be tied to the M2 pages and The Tarn Telegraph soon, so hopefully, that will help.

And PS, welcome to the forums.
